What is CaseTrust?

CaseTrust is the accreditation arm of the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE), and is Singapore's de facto standard for companies who wish to demonstrate their commitment to fair trading and transparency to consumers. Since our inception in 1999, we have been working hand-in-hand with many companies to raise the industry standards.

Some of the industries we work with include:

CaseTrust Accredited Business

What's different about a CaseTrust accredited company?

CASE has constantly lobbied for greater protection for consumers, which has resulted in changes in the Consumer Protection Fair Trading Act (CPFTA).

For more information on your Consumer rights under the CPFTA and what constitutes an unfair practice, click here.

Our goal of Consumer Protection and constant networks with industry experts allows us at CaseTrust to understand the needs of each industry. That is why at CaseTrust, our accreditation schemes are always tailored according to each specific industry.

Here are some of them...

Industry CaseTrust Accredited Business Benefits
Spa and Wellness Business provides a 5-day cooling off period for consumers to get a full refund
Motor Vehicle Business purchases a $50,000 insurance bond to protect consumers
E-commerce business Business uses a secure payment mechanism and ensures that client data is kept confidential

As a consumer, when you walk into a CaseTrust shop, you can shop to your heart’s content, assured that what you see is what you get. Even if there are problems later, you can resolve it with confidence because when something unfortunate happens, the company is committed to resolving the dispute in a timely and fair manner.

In the event that the dispute is unresolved, consumers can always approach CASE for help. Our Consumer Relations Officers will be able to advise them of their rights and assist them to resolve the matter with the company concerned.

If necessary, our company can further arrange for a mediation session between the consumer and the company. The session will be conducted by trained mediators who will assist both parties in arriving at a win-win situation. Sounds good? If so, do click on our individual accreditation schemes for more information.

What does CaseTrust mean to YOU, the Business?

Being CaseTrusted reinforces your business commitment to your customers. This recognition further instills consumer confidence in your company’s products and services, resulting in increased consumer loyalty and repeated patronage for your business.

We are also aiming to prepare you for the Fair Trading legislation, ensuring that your businesses will not unwittingly violate the law. The rigorous accreditation process that all businesses undergo to qualify for the scheme also enables your business to be well adapted to meet the needs and demands of international consumers.
